Prevari Releases Technology Risk Manager 3.3

Prevari Enhances Quantitative Analytical Tool to Include Comparative Analysis and Modeling

Minneapolis, MN. September 7, 2007 – Prevari, a security product company in Security Risk Management today announced the official release of its newest version of the Technology Risk Manager (TRM) product line. TRM 3.3, using external technology feeds from multiple technology scanners, delivers Prevari Risk Index (PRI) based on the technical, administrative and physical controls of an IT environment. Once established, TRM provides detailed comparative risk analysis between geographic networks, operational groups, and business functions to determine where additional controls may be warranted to meet regulatory or risk requirements of that system.

This new product version provides executive management with the ability to understand the state of their IT risk and make business decisions based on ROI and acceptable levels of risk specific to business functions. These decisions are supported via the complex modeling and simulation algorithms inherent in TRM.

"Senior management struggles to objectively measure and compare IT risk throughout disparate parts of the organization. Having the ability to manage IT risk using a repeatable process regardless of business function, size, and location is paramount to understanding how to prioritize and defend one’s environment” said KoniKaye Jeschke, CEO. "Making informed decisions based on repeatable, quantitative metrics is essential to understanding and managing overall risk as well as defending compliance," said Jeschke.

"Very few organizations can state in clear, measurable terms the exact state of their IT risk and compliance today, and more importantly, where they plan to be in 12, 24, and 36 months," said Frank McLallen, vice president of marketing and sales. “TRM 3.3 offers customers an easy-to-deploy solution that can provide simplified risk comparisons between business functions and locations using modeling and simulation techniques. TRM risk metrics have a proven track record of significant impact to clients. Cost savings and clarity in decision making are immediately evident.”

Technology Risk Manager (TRM) 3.3
TRM is a scaleable software application that features the ability to assimilate technical, administrative and physical environments into a common risk index yielding quantitative measurements in the domains of Confidentiality, Integrity, Available, and Audit. This information can then be used to understand and mitigate risk from the individual host level up to and including the entire corporate enterprise and any customer-defined business unit or application in between.
