The Canton Group Adds Technology Risk Manager (TRM) to GSA Schedule Prevari's Automated Risk Analysis Tool for IT security now available to Government buyers Minneapolis, MN. December 22, 2008 - Prevari Platinum partner The Canton Group, an IT services company based in Baltimore, MD, today announced the availability of Prevari's Technology Risk Manager (TRM) product line via GSA schedule GS-35F-0140. "Federal Government agencies are under constant pressure to report and demonstrate compliance with IT security standards and frameworks for both internal and intra-agency computing activity," said Ethan Kazi, CEO, The Canton Group. "Using TRM, we can apply a quantitative and repeatable framework to the IT security analysis process for Federal Government agencies," he said. According to KoniKaye Jeschke, Prevari CEO, "TRM's early success in commercial markets such as finance, energy, and high-technology clearly applies in the Federal enterprise space. The ability to calculate quantitative risk metrics and model risk and compliance decisions to support critical enterprise IT security decisions is a powerful management tool." What's more, TRM's ability to easily integrate with existing IT security tools and practices minimizes the cost and complexity of implementation while at the same time optimizing near-term, hi-impact IT security results for decision makers. TRM's automated features and capabilities can help organizations of all sizes work toward compliance with IT security mandates such as the Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA) and computer security guidelines published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). "By using TRM to measure a system's strengths and weaknesses, we can demonstrate to our Federal Government clients where they should best apply their limited budgets to achieve the highest level of impact for IT security," Kazi said.
